Today I contacted 2 friends whose birthday it is. I usually remember but don’t necessarily act upon it. The relief of doing this\, instead of having to remember again another day is wonderful. You made important stuff such fun.”\nMargaret\, Feilding NZ“Very worthwhile course & well worth the few hours it takes. Lots of good new tricks to aid the ageing grey matter!” \nRoger Milne\, NZ“I am very much enjoying my Brainfit class. Highly recommend” \nLiz Hannan“Very valuable hints to encourage healthy memory. Thoroughly enjoyable and non-threatening. Younger people need to be encouraged to take the course.” \nPauline\, Auckland\, NZ“The course has been so enjoyable and it’s with real enthusiasm that I leave each week to test my knowledge.  Absolutely inspiring.  It’s like eating something delicious and wanting more.” \nMary\, Northland\, NZ“These classes have helped me find specific areas I need to work on to help with my concussion-related injury. Thank you so much” \nAngelique\, Christchurch“A revelation! What a wake up call and an exciting view of the new possibilities ahead of me.” \nSally\, AucklandVery Helpful. A great investment in my wellbeing \n“Feel encouraged\, very hopeful of improving memory.  Stimulated.  Had excellent teacher\, many wonderful laughs\, much to learn.” \nPat“The course was fun and well presented. I found myself looking forward to each class and was very pleased when I got the opportunity to catch up on one class that I was unable to attend at the time.” \nJane“Jude was so inspiring. Fantastic course – I am sorry it has to come to an end!” \nCarol\, AucklandI am thoroughly enjoying the course and find it very beneficial\, so thank you. \nA. Hogan Auckland\, NZ“I had an opportunity to practice remembering names at a social gathering on Friday where we met a lot of new people. Being an inquisitive person I found it easier to probe into people’s names rather than weave a story around them. For instance I was introduced to a lady called Sheryl and asked her if she was Sheryl or Cheryl. By concentrating on people’s names and repeating them as soon as possible I was able to remember most people I met\, even differentiating between an Annette and a Lynette so was quite pleased.” \nMoyra\, Auckland NZ“I have recently finished a course called Brainfit For Life with Jessie. It is the best thing I have done to improve my mind for ages and will continue to practice the mental and physical exercises I learnt. I also enjoyed meeting a new group of people\, we intend to continue meeting once a month for a chat over coffee. Thank you Jessie you were great.” \nRobyn Wilson“Thanks for yesterday’s ‘power hour & a half!’ After the training\, I spoke about the content with my husband and he particularly liked (as well as I) methods to learn someone’s name by taking a mental picture and making relevant associations. We will both be trying this as and when we meet new people.” \nThelma\, Auckland\, NZ“I enjoyed this course as I mixed with others\, learnt what I can and can’t do well and know what I need to practice more.  Thank you for your energy in delivering the course\, Jessie.  I find the book invaluable.” \nCarol“Very fulfilling and engaging course. Excellent presentations that were relevant to everyday happenings” \nGlenys\, Auckland“Brainfit was an enjoyable way to understand and learn about my brain and memory. Highly Recommend!” \nCarmen\, Auckland“I really enjoyed the course and the calm and gentle way you led us – thank you very much.” \nScott\, RiverheadI have gained a lot of knowledge working alongside Brainfit. The knowledge learnt paired up with application has been life changing. Small steps is all that I had to start with but the more I practiced the better I became. And It is interesting\, in hindsight to recognise that\, for me\, that cloak of reluctance and a sense of ‘can’t be bothered’ followed me round for a while with some games and cognitive exercises. But I remained resilient with one foot in front of the other\, and the outcome was immensely rewarding. For example\, I had never done sudoku because I considered it too hard. I do two a day now because I find it enjoyable. Merging is my new word for just adding an exercise to the equation when waiting for the washing machine to finish. Standing in a line memorising interesting facts etc. \nNeuroplasticity\, the brain’s ability to adapt and change\, is around us every day. That is an amazing opportunity . High five to the brain and to you for practising. \nMary\, West Coast
