The Brainfit® Academy offers three core online courses that make up the Accredited Brainfit® Coach Training. You can take the first 2 courses individually for personal interest or complete all three to become an Accredited Brainfit® Coach. Many people start with a curiosity about how memory works – for themselves, their families, or to complement their work in wellbeing, education, or coaching.

Here’s a breakdown of the full Brainfit® Coach Accreditation pathway:

1. Your Memory Matters: Know the Six Key Skills (6 Modules)

Gain a deep understanding of memory types, how memory works, and practical strategies to strengthen recall, focus, and cognitive confidence.
Modules include:

• Essential Memory Types (Parts 1–3)
• The Keys to Successful Remembering
• Long-Term Memory & Research
• Putting It All Together

2. Your Amazing Brain (6 Modules)

Explore the inner workings of the brain, neuroplasticity, brain regions, and how lifestyle factors support brain health and reduce dementia risk.
Modules include:

• Brain Overview & Neurons
• Neuroplasticity in Action
• Lobes of the Brain
• Lifestyle & Dementia

3. The Business of Brainfit® Coaching (10 Modules)

Learn how to confidently deliver Brainfit® for Life classes. This module covers everything from identifying your target audience to presenting, marketing, and managing your classes.
Topics include:

• Finding & Engaging Your Audience
• Coaching Brain Fitness
• Speaking, Marketing & Promotion
• Class Management
• Preparing for Your First Class

This programme welcomes anyone with a keen interest in memory and the brain – whether for personal growth or to become a Brainfit® Coach. Our past students include health professionals, educators, retirees, and wellbeing coaches as well as curious life-long learners.

Our Brainfit® Academy Courses are practical, engaging, and designed to be both enjoyable and intellectually stimulating.

The first three parts of Brainfit® Accredited Coach course are delivered fully online, with video lessons, transcripts, and short quizzes to reinforce learning. Quizzes must be completed 100% accurately to proceed – this reinforces a key memory technique: repetition. A certificate of completion will be awarded at the end of each course.

You can work through these at your own pace but you’ll have access to personalised support throughout your online study from our Brainfit® Training Director.

The forth & final step of the Brainfit® Coach Accreditation process involves one-on-one mentoring with our Brainfit® Training Director who will work along side you to ensure you have the confidence to deliver high quality Brainfit® classes in your community.

Here’s a breakdown of the current course costs associated with becoming an Accredited Brainfit® Coach (Please Note: these are subject to change and will be reviewed annually)

• Your Memory Matters – $199 NZD
• Your Amazing Brain – $199 NZD
• The Business of Brainfit Coaching – $3,600 NZD (Includes first-year license, mentoring, and full accreditation process)

The Brainfit® Accredited Coaches training is led by Brainfit® founders and memory experts Dr. Allison Lamont and Gillian Eadie, alongside Brainfit® Training Director Ina Meeten. As an experienced Accredited Coach herself, Ina provides mentoring and ongoing support during your accreditation journey.

Once all three Brainfit® Academy Coaches courses are complete, you’ll receive one-on-one mentoring from our Training Director. You’ll gain access to some of the Brainfit® for Life teaching materials and annotate your presentation slides in preparation for a short live demonstration (via Zoom) to complete your Accreditation.

Once accredited, you’ll receive:

• A Brainfit digital resource library including full slides & templated marketing materials
• Your own class page on Brainfit.World website
• Access to the Accredited Coach forum
• Invitations to regular Zoom meetups for ongoing support and networking

​Yes. Your first year’s license is included in the Business of Brainfit Coaching course fee.

After your first 12 months, an annual membership and licensing fee applies, giving you full access to updated teaching resources, marketing support, and promotional visibility:

This includes:

• Full use of the Brainfit® for Life resources
• Marketing templates & collateral
• Access to neuroscience research & updates
• Profile & class listing on the Brainfit® website
• Promotion in Brainfit newsletters
• Speaking referrals and networking opportunities

Requests to offer additional Brainfit® World programmes (e.g., Brainfit to Drive, Brainfit At Work) will be considered on a case by case basis and will incur a separate annual fee. Please contact us for details.

To complete your Brainfit® Coaches Academy Online training, you’ll need:

• A laptop or desktop computer (Note: a laptop is essential if you plan to run Brainfit classes in the future)
• A reliable internet connection
• An email account
• Zoom (free download at least)
• Microsoft Word & PowerPoint
• Adobe Acrobat Reader
• A printer (optional)
• A strong understanding of written and spoken English
• A passion for brain health and helping others
