Bachelor Recreation Management (Community) – Lincoln University | Graduate Diploma of Teaching and Learning (Primary) – Canterbury College of Education | Accredited Brainfit® Coach
After growing up on a farm in a small town in Canterbury and going to boarding school in Christchurch, I studied community recreation at Lincoln University, attended Canterbury University College of Education and worked as a primary school teacher for 10+ years.
I now live on a sheep and beef farm near Geraldine. Whilst being a busy mum of two and farmers wife, I relieve at the local primary school, have a hobby sewing/craft business, garden, read, play sport, and am involved in multiple committees in my local community.
I have a lifelong interest in physical activity/ sport as well as an interest in health and well-being and a fascination with how the human body works. My strong desire to learn and start “using my brain again” after being at home with small children, as well as my background in education and passion for making a difference in my community has led me to being an accredited Brainfit coach.
I feel very strongly that in the fast paced, information rich, high-stress world we live in, brain health and memory confidence is more crucial than ever. I feel inspired to help empower you with the skills to grow your brain power, improve your memory, and avoid brain overload, in order to live an independent and productive life no matter your age and stage.
Knowledge is power and I want you to know the sooner you start strengthening your brain the better.
Please also know it is never too late to start. I look forward to meeting you.

WHAT OUR STUDENTS SAY
I found the course very helpful, and easy to follow.
Some things were surprising and many of the techniques I am able to slot into my every day activities. It has really helped to be made aware of a lot of things that I can do differently in a wide range of situations to help with my memory. Thank you so much.
I have struggled with cognitive issues as I have advanced in years, it has really worried me. Having been in Ina Meeten’s class in Blenheim, I am a lot more confident that I can look forward to many more years without “losing my marbles”!!
I now have a real purpose in life, and I think I can help others as well.
I really enjoyed the course. Accompanied with the book it was just great. Ina was an excellent teacher and we would like to do another course next year with her.
I have recently completed the Brainfit course with Ina Meeten. Ina was encouraging and inspirational. Our course was both fun and challenging. We learnt so much about how our amazing brain works. I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to improve their memory and thinking skills.
I am enjoying my Brainfit® sessions with Ina. She is a great leader and she explains things well. I am a VHF radio operator with the Nelson Marlborough Marine radio, talking to vessels in the top of the South Island area. I need very quick thinking for some situations. This work helps with my brain function. Thank you Ina for the chance to attend.
