“The Brainfit workshop was information rich but well-presented so easy to absorb. Our team thoroughly enjoyed the learning and were stoked to come away with a suite of tangible, practical tips to apply to their day-to-day work. Thank you so much Ina”

Hillary - Practice Manager at McCoy & Co
(Brainfit At Work)

“I wanted to again extend my gratitude for the remarkable Brainfit At Work session you led at the Summit. Your session was undeniably one of the highlights for so many of us, and it left a lasting impact on all those who attended. Your ability to distil complex concepts into practical takeaways was truly impressive. The insights you shared during the Brainfit session resonated with each of us on a personal and professional level. It was as if a lightbulb had illuminated, revealing new perspectives and actionable strategies that we can implement to better ourselves.

The session was not just informative; it was transformative – It sparked a renewed sense of curiosity and a commitment to lifelong learning. We walked away with actionable steps that we can incorporate into our daily lives to enhance our cognitive fitness and overall well-being so thank you for sharing your expertise and insights with us in such a relatable and impactful way.”

“Tried out name recall using focus – connect-rehearse at an art auction. In each case I focused on a specific facial characteristic, I immediately used their name back to them and connected them to some aspect of their art. I remembered their names and was able to use them as I said “Goodbye” at the end of the evening. Their reaction to hearing their name was definitely positive (not just for me!).”

“I really do have to thank you and Allison for everything you do in connection with keeping the brain fit. The puzzles, the exercises, the information, the advice, the page layout and choice of print for the written material and all expressed in such a “nice” friendly, upbeat style.”

I have gained a lot of knowledge working alongside Brainfit. The knowledge learnt paired up with application has been life changing. Small steps is all that I had to start with but the more I practiced the better I became. And It is interesting, in hindsight to recognise that, for me, that cloak of reluctance and a sense of ‘can’t be bothered’ followed me round for a while with some games and cognitive exercises. But I remained resilient with one foot in front of the other, and the outcome was immensely rewarding. For example, I had never done sudoku because I considered it too hard. I do two a day now because I find it enjoyable. Merging is my new word for just adding an exercise to the equation when waiting for the washing machine to finish. Standing in a line memorising interesting facts etc.

Neuroplasticity, the brain’s ability to adapt and change, is around us every day. That is an amazing opportunity . High five to the brain and to you for practising.

As a Senior Model, I am often called upon to memorize scripts for commercials and your work has so enriched my abilities and provided me with much more confidence when I get before the cameras. I also come from a long line of women who are known for their “forgetfulness” and I have learned the secrets as to just why this is so from reading the lessons you have provided for me.

“I really enjoyed the workshop you put on for us and there were several points that I took from the workshop that were very valuable and have stuck with me. I was particularly impressed with your top 6 tips for looking after one’s brain and avoiding overload and I have to say these tips have been very helpful. I have been engaging the ‘focus, connect, rehearse technique and one area it helps me is remembering people’s names, something that in this business, and in just about any walk of life, really makes a difference to people when you remember their names. Thanks again Ina and I can highly recommend your workshop to any organisation, big or small. There is something there for everyone, it is entertaining, informative, and helpful.”

I’m so grateful to have attended the Brainfit classes at St Martins. The resources were generous, and I especially enjoyed the memory techniques—like using the alphabet for word recall and fun mnemonics for things like cranial nerves. I’ve started naturally using these tools in everyday life and I’ve learned that I enjoy using pictures and shapes to help me recall things. The other day, someone gave me a website URL and I didn’t have a pen—but I instantly found myself making connections to remember it. And I still remember it! Most importantly, I’ve also noticed a more positive way of connecting with others. Thank you so much!

“I am finding it all quite a challenge but wish to tell you that I am absolutely loving it.  We are doing it together which is fabulous fun.  I feel that you have given me a new lease on life and am finding it hard to get to do much else.”

“Before the golf club meeting, I visualized the people I might meet and ran their names through my mind. I could ‘see’ them. This helped me recognize people and their names quickly. I also used the focus – connect strategy when I met a new club member. I listened to his name, used it when I replied and introduced him to another friend almost straight away. It works – I proved it!”

“There are so many pills and potions around which are supposed to help the brain it is refreshing to know that exercising the brain as you would your body is more beneficial with no negative side effects. The course was very helpful.”
