BRAINFIT® Coach, Bachelor of Science (Psychology)

Following an intrinsic interest in psychology, I completed a Bachelor of Science at the University of Auckland straight after high school. However, feeling “too young” to meaningfully support others in the field of mental health and wellbeing, I headed overseas for many years of adventure — gaining invaluable life experience along the way.

Experiencing firsthand the distress that dementia can cause for loved ones reignited my original passion: understanding the brain and learning how best to support it for a happier, more fulfilling life.

I am so grateful to be able to offer fun and engaging classes that are proven to buffer against age-related memory loss, while also improving quality of life — a benefit you can enjoy today. Through delivering the Brainfit for Life classes, I love sharing how our brain and memory work, how to support their continual growth, and providing participants with strategies that are easily applied to everyday life.

Based in Whakamarama, I offer Brainfit for Life classes from Katikati to Papamoa in the Bay of Plenty Region, New Zealand

Since it’s never too late (or too early) to start getting your brain fit, reach out today and let’s find a class that suits you.

WHAT OUR STUDENTS SAY

“I really enjoyed the workshop you put on for us and there were several points that I took from the workshop that were very valuable and have stuck with me. I was particularly impressed with your top 6 tips for looking after one’s brain and avoiding overload and I have to say these tips have been very helpful. I have been engaging the ‘focus, connect, rehearse technique and one area it helps me is remembering people’s names, something that in this business, and in just about any walk of life, really makes a difference to people when you remember their names. Thanks again Ina and I can highly recommend your workshop to any organisation, big or small. There is something there for everyone, it is entertaining, informative, and helpful.”

Steve Wyllie, One Agency

“The Brainfit workshop was information rich but well-presented so easy to absorb. Our team thoroughly enjoyed the learning and were stoked to come away with a suite of tangible, practical tips to apply to their day-to-day work. Thank you so much Ina”

Hillary - Practice Manager at McCoy & Co

“I found the course very helpful, and easy to follow. Some things were surprising and many of the techniques I am able to slot into my every day activities. It has really helped to be made aware of a lot of things that I can do differently in a wide range of situations to help with my memory. Thank you so much.”

Jane, Blenheim

“I am enjoying my Brainfit® sessions with Ina. She is a great leader and she explains things well. I am a VHF radio operator with the Nelson Marlborough Marine radio, talking to vessels in the top of the South Island area. I need very quick thinking for some situations. This work helps with my brain function. Thank you Ina for the chance to attend.”

Judith Allen, Blenheim NZ

“I have recently completed the Brainfit course with Ina Meeten. Ina was encouraging and inspirational. Our course was both fun and challenging. We learnt so much about how our amazing brain works. I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to improve their memory and thinking skills.”

Lorraine, Blenheim

“I have struggled with cognitive issues as I have advanced in years, it has really worried me. Having been in Ina Meeten’s class in Blenheim, I am a lot more confident that I can look forward to many more years without “losing my marbles”!! I now have a real purpose in life, and I think I can help others as well. Thank you.”

Ben Wickham, Blenheim NZ

“I really enjoyed the course. Accompanied with the book it was just great. Ina was an excellent teacher and we would like to do another course next year with her.”
