Are you TOO busy?
Starting to forget things you would usually remember?
Feeling stresses and strains
And unwell?

‘Mindfulness’ might be the answer for you.

When did you last feel really quiet
Peaceful
Focused?

Paying attention to what is happening for you RIGHT NOW
(Without drifting into thoughts of the past or
Worries about the future) is
Mindfulness.

Try this simple mindfulness meditation exercise.

Sit on a straight-backed chair, or cross-legged on the floor.
Focus on your breathing, maybe the sensations of air flowing into your nostrils and out of your mouth, or your midriff rising and falling as you inhale and exhale.

When your concentration is narrowed in this way, begin to widen your focus.
Slowly become aware of the sounds around you,
feelings, sensations and the
Ideas that drift into your mind.

Take in and consider each thought or sensation without judging it as good or bad.
If your mind starts to race, return to focusing on your breathing.
When you feel calm
Expand your awareness again.

The positive effects of mindfulness meditation grow in time —
the more you practice, the more benefits you will experience.
