And without good balance, the risk of a fall is higher.
In most cases poor balance can be improved with regular balance exercises.
Try this simple balance test.
You’ll soon know if you should be adding balance training to your regular exercise regime.
Here are the levels of challenge – where are you on the scale?
Challenge Level 1:
Lightly use something for balance
Challenge Level 2:
No holding on!
Challenge Level 3:
Close your eyes for 10 seconds or more.
Now for the Test
Start with feet in position A and try levels 1, 2 and 3. If you can do the challenges levels in position A try B and then C.
Count slowly to 10.
Change the leg that is in front if you are in position C
